Dexter Harding is a local musician and educator who delights all ages with stringed instruments, storytelling, and singing. All children and their caregivers are welcome at this FREE summer reading program event.
White Mountain Ceilí Band is Dexter Harding on the tenor banjo, Fiona Howell on the flute, Siena Kaplan-Thompson on the fiddle, and Mike Levine on the guitar and occasional concertina. They play Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton instrumental music with warmth and joy, as well as the occasional song.
This FREE event will take place inside, the Periodical Room.
Children ages 5 and up and their caregivers are invited to join in the fun! Take on building challenges, work together or independently, free build, and display your work in a fun atmosphere the first Wednesday of each month after school. Children under age 10 must have a caregiver present. Building bricks provided. FREE! No sign-up required.
Kids of all ages and their caregivers are invited to join Dixie Lea for 45 minutes of stretching, movement, and fun! Yoga is a great way to destress after a busy day. Bring water, a yoga mat if you have one (not required) and wear comfy clothing. FREE!
Children are invited to choose one of their stuffed animals to enjoy an adventure away from home for a night, while sleeping over in the Conway Library! Kids should drop off their animals between noon and 5 PM on Monday, where they will make a name tag for their stuffie, then give them goodbye hugs and kisses. Stuffies may need reassurance that their child will return to pick them up the next day! Each stuffie will have a picture journal to keep, showing all of the favorite moments of their sleepover with their stuffed friends.
Aquatic Critters in NH Rivers
Starting at 4:00pm, children and their families are invited to join us in the library park for a presentation from NH Fish & Game Watershed Education Specialist Kayla Croteau.
Learn about the aquatic critters that inhabit the rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water in our state!
Robert Clarke is back with magic tricks, audience participation, and laughs for all ages! This FREE event kicks off the summer reading program for 2023, All Together Now. It is recommended that audience members bring water bottles for hot days, but there will be a tent for shelter from sun and rain in the library park.
