Art Celebration: Changing Place (Julia Lawson)

Throughout the years these works were being created, the world and space around them have been experiencing constant change. From place to place and from time to time, they would be changing along with me. Moving between small apartments, cabins, and cottages, these works help celebrate the excitement of new environments. Each piece was started at different times but carries the same feelings and style. Some figures represented here are purely spontaneous additions while others are cherished deeply as a significant part of my journey.

Julia Lawson currently lives in Madison, New Hampshire, and teaches full time as a class teacher for the White Mountain Waldorf School. She received a bachelors of fine art from the University of Rhode Island in 2018. After graduating, Julia moved to New Hampshire from Rhode Island and soon fell in love with Mt. Washington Valley. Surrounded by picturesque scenery and nature, Julia is constantly being inspired to work on paintings and drawings that echo the magnificence of her environment.
