Goodwin Community Health / WIC

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a free preventative health and nutrition program offered to pregnant, postpartum & breastfeeding women and children from 0 to 5. Professional staff work with you one-on-one to help with all your parenting and nutritional needs. Throughout the year, WIC organizes events to encourage a healthy growth and development for your family.

Once Upon a Story Hour

Come and Join Once Upon A Story Hour on the fourth Thursday of the month starting at 4:30 pm in the Ham Room. Each visit will have different stories and after storytime activities. All are welcome! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Memento Mori Death Cafe

Let's talk about death! Join Lindsay Kafka, a registered nurse and former lawyer with a background in hospice & long-term care nursing, as well as elder law, for this participant-led conversation designed to nurture a positive and curious relationship with death, dying & mortality, and connection with each other. The primary objective is to increase awareness of death, enabling us to live more authentically and make the most of our finite lives. Sweet treats and beverages will be provided. This event is FREE and OPEN TO ALL.

Decorate a Gingerbread House

Every registered guest will receive a pre-assembled gingerbread house, made by students in the culinary program through KHS career tech. We will provide decorating supplies, and decorators will provide the magic!

This program is free and there will be an opportunity to contribute a donation (optional) to the culinary program at Kennett High School. Registration priority will be given to kids (age 5 or older) , and spots are limited to 18.
