Zoom with Miss Tara to Imagine Your World!
How DOES one imagine your world? Get inspired for the month's fun summer reading opportunities while Miss Tara generates ideas, shares book talks, links, and at-home suggestions.
Throughout the years these works were being created, the world and space around them have been experiencing constant change. From place to place and from time to time, they would be changing along with me. Moving between small apartments, cabins, and cottages, these works help celebrate the excitement of new environments.
Join some of this talented ukulele group for some traditional and contemporary (think U2 and Van Morrison) Irish music. FREE! All are welcome.
Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to enjoy songs, rhythm, movement, instruments and fun with educator, Riley Waygood. FREE! 4 Friday sessions.
Take your children to this annual event to help foster their love of libraries. This year is all about dinosaurs! begin with a story time with special guest, Rory the Dino (from Story Land), and continue on with a book giveaway (thank you Believe in Books Literacy Foundation), face painting with Carol Hanson, a dinosaur dig, a scavenger hunt and more!
School's out this week. Come create your most unique snow person, and show it off in the library park for all to see! Accessories and props provided or bring your own.
Make a unique card for your loved one on this special day. All ages. Materials provided.
Make a dish to share that represents your culture or tradition, and enjoy learning about community neighbors. If you would like to do a "show and tell" representing your culture or nationality, please do! Screen and projector available for brief slide shows, etc. Call 447-5552 for more information.
Animal Sounds
Animals make sounds for a variety of reasons – to attract a mate, to defend their territory, to capture prey, or even to escape predators. Join a Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist and three live animals native to New Hampshire to hear their sounds and discover the reasons behind them.
This program occurs during a teacher workshop day. Caregivers and children are encouraged to attend!
