Join Joe Callanan Wildlife Photographer & Natural History Educator as we explore the lives and strategies of our local Birds of Prey. Come learn how these aerial hunters survive in the wild. We shall look at the various methods different species utilize to capture their prey. It will surprise you to learn of the capabilities some of these birds have. Raptors are at the apex of eyesight, flight speed and stealth.
We must take responsibility; no one is coming to save us; we are all in the same boat and we must pull together if we are to survive. If we can do this, we can create the government Lincoln imagined – of, by, and for the people. - from the website of The People

Kinship Meeting
Let's get into the spirit of the holiday season. Jump back into the Christmas past with Bob Cottrell as he tells us about the first Christmas of 1539, where Hernando de Soto, a dozen Catholic priests, and around 600 Spanish explorers celebrated. Bob will then travel through time to the Christmas present day of how Conway celebrates this holiday.
Jump back into the past, to the first Thanksgiving of 1565 in St. Augustine in Spanish La Florida, and travel through time to the present day of this special Holiday. Bob Cottrell will go into details of how we get food from the farm onto the table. This is a holiday in which we can enjoy a couple of days off work and focus on food, parade, friends, and family. It has a much less commercial nature to it than many other holidays.
